The Adam Sanders Scholarship Fund for Young Activists is named in memory of an incredible artist, activist and student who tirelessly volunteered with Peace Action Maine and the Maine Peace Fund. Although his life was cut tragically short, Adam provided a vision for a more joyful and just world through his actions, art, friendship and poetry.

This scholarship fund for young activists will go to further the work of young people and students in Maine who organize and apply creativity and joy in their efforts to realize social justice. In conjunction with Adam’s family and the Maine Peace Fund, the first round of small grants will be given out in 2008.
