PAM works to:
Coordinate days and build up to sustained periods of countering military recruiters at centers of recruitment in Maine through nonviolent direct education and action, arts, dialogue, and a continued presence.
Counter recruiters at high schools, colleges and public events by offering alternative careers and materials detailing the myths and realities of military service.
Offer internships and volunteer opportunities to young people.
PAM is currently working to form an affinity group of individuals who would like to take a stand against the militarism of our youth. In 2006, Maine had the 5th highest number of Army recruits per 1000 individuals aged 15-24.
