Independence Day also celebrates dependence—on each other. As Benjamin Franklin observed, while he and his fellow Founding Fathers were signing the treasonous Declaration of Independence: “We must hang together, gentlemen…else, we shall all hang separately.” In other words, the Fourth of July celebrates solidarity. So, come to the Solidarity Center this July 4th and celebrate the meaning of Independence Day!
