Maine Veterans For Peace will again have a group participating in the American Legion/Portland Veterans Day parade.

We will gather between 9 - 9:30 AM in the area of State and Congress Streets (Longfellow Square), Portland. Parade begins at 10:30 AM and is an easy ½ mile walk down Congress St. to City Hall Plaza.

As in the prior years we will carry only one VFP banner and VFP flag. No other signs. This is based on an arrangement with American Legion 3 years ago. We ask that participants wear black.

There will be a contingent of Maine VFP members who will be going to Boston to support the Smedley Butler Brigade in their attempts to get into the American Legion sponsored parade (they have been prevented, by arrest, from participating in this parade).
