As a Prelude to PeaceWorks' 15th Annual PeaceFair, this screening of a new documentary was followed by a "Nuclear Update" by Judy Elliott. The PeaceFair commemorated the atom bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on Aug. 6 and Aug. 9, 1945. "The Beginning of the End of Nuclear Weapons" helps explain the history of nuclear weapons and the current push for local support of the TPNW (the ban treaty) #treatyban. It's a film that is good for a general audience, college, high school, and for activists like us." The event was co-sponsored by PeaceWorks and WILPFmaine. FMI:http://theendofnuclearweapons.com/
