Sequence 01.Still001

Zoom with Brian Milakovsky, a FaceBook friend, who was posting from Volnovakha,  eastern Ukraine.
He is from Somerville Maine, attended  Cony High School, and studied Forestry at the University of Maine.
Our 1/2 hour zoom with Brian(in Croatia) and his father(in Maine) took place on SUNDAY 2 PM March 13.
The program began with his father giving an update and Brian was able to join the call next. We got to meet his wife and their  3 month old baby. Quote from the program: There is no "Nazi control" over the Ukrainian government.
This is a recording of the full program HERE. The GO FUND ME site.

Brian is working with  volunteers  to buy fuel for a small fleet of buses and minivans- "which travel to the bombarded town of Volnovakha (near Mariupol, if you follow the news) to evacuate several hundred stranded residents. Our funds also went towards buying groceries for the displaced persons shelter in Myrnohrad ("Peaceful City") where they were evacuated to."

"Please see the attached video from Dima. It helps one appreciate the random and heartless cruelty of artillery warfare, which has been a reality for eastern Ukraine since 2014 and is now spreading across the country. At the end we see Volnovakha residents gathering in their ruined downtown to be evacuated."  "Friend" Brian on FB to follow daily postings.
