May 1, 2022 was our Spring Renewal Keynote Address!

Peace Action Maine and Maine's Poor People's Campaign joined forces to hear from Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, co-chair of the Poor People's Campaign (view video), introduced by member Rev. Rich Killmer. Marcy Makinen and Josh Kauppila shared history and an update of Maine's PPC. Emily Dorrel, of CodePink described other programs in support of the exciting upcoming June 18  PPC event in DC.
We can change the moral narrative of our nation and demand the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation and militarism. Be inspired to get on a Maine bus for DC in June and help make it happen!

This program was part of our Tina Malcolmson Campaign for Climate, in collaboration with Maine's WILPF.
The  June 18 National March & Assembly addresses the major issues facing the nation's 140 million low wealth people. The PPC is the largest movement in the nation that explicitly rejects militarism and calls for reordering the war economy. Given the current intensification of military spending, this is the time to join forces!
