Peace Action Maine awards two PeaceWorkers each year in recognition of persons or organizations that are forces for peace in Maine and inspirations to us all. Covid19 might limit in-person acknowledgment and appreciation, but share congratulations and recognition for her with us now and the next time you see her out in the streets or in the halls of Augusta: Suzanne Hedrick! She challenges us to take the next steps outside a comfort zone: step out and step up! Here she is in 1988 with her mock cruise missile & in 2021 with our Nuclear Ban Banner, celebrating the Entry-Into-Force of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.
